Easter Pageant Script
For years our family has performed a Christmas pageant in our home at Christmastime (first with our kids and now with our grandkids). It’s so much fun! And because the script was written by God, the source material cannot be beat. The kids put on adult bathrobes and use hockey sticks for shepherds’ staffs—you get the idea. I usually play the narrator and read from Luke, chapter 2.
The action for the young cast comes right from Scripture (or on occasion from me, if a particular sheep is distracted with something in his nose, etc.). It’s fun for all, and it effortlessly teaches the biblical story of Christmas every year. It really soaks into their little hearts and minds. I think it’s always best to teach kids theology while they’re having fun.
But now that it’s the Easter season, I got to thinking, “Why not do an Easter pageant?” So, I did! I’ve selected various Scriptures and put them together in a script so you can direct your own pageant in your home this year.
Download the Easter pageant script and start gathering your cast of characters, along with all the bathrobes, paper beards, and hockey sticks you can get your hands on. It’s time to learn and enjoy some solid theology in your house this year. Happy Easter!
